April 2012 Beginner Bellydance Karen - Sat 12:45-2:15PM

Welcome to the magical world of bellydance, the most beautiful dance in the world!

This 90 minute class is perfect whether you are new to bellydance or even if you have NEVER taken a dance class!

You have taken the first step and we will take care of you for the rest.


Starts: Saturday, April 21th at 12:45 to 2:15PM

Duration: 10 weeks

 

  • First, after a proper warmup, you will work on dance posture, alignment and isolation of the body's core muscle groups. 
  • We will introduce you to basic footwork, hip isolations, undulations and shimmies all to the musical notes of the oud and mizmar.  

 

Let's dance!  Our instructors will then show how to combine these movements in a beautiful choreography.


There is no age discrimination here.  Whether you are 15 or 70 there is a spot for you.

 

If it is difficult for you to commit to 10 consecutive weeks of 90 minutes, please consider our 60 minute Beginner Bellydance Drop-in  on Thursdays at 6PM.


 Recital:  Optional but recommended 


We dance barefoot and you will just need comfortable yoga style clothes to move in - a coin hipscarf is recommended and available at the studio.
